Jean Lanoix has a wealth of experience in advertising, marketing, television production, and the design of dynamic Internet services. Since 1993, he has participated in the development of interactive strategies for more than a hundred private and public organizations.
Jean Lanoix founded Net² Evolution, a company whose mission is to develop Internet services of social relevance. In 2003, he published INTERNET 2025. a book about the future of the Internet that advances practical projects applied to health, marketing, public service, journalism, the film industry, and education.
Prior to founding Net² Evolution, Jean Lanoix was the Interactive Strategies Director for Fujitsu Consulting’s Global eCommerce Competency Center, which served 65 offices around the world.
Jean Lanoix is a sought-after speaker for his dynamic presentations on the Internet of today and tomorrow. The central theme of all his presentations is always "The Importance of Imagining the Future," and he focuses on how we can harness the power of Internet media to visualize and build a better world.
2002-2025
The Internet, helping to build a better world
In 2002, Jean Lanoix took a sabbatical year to write a book on the future of the Internet. Published in September 2003, INTERNET 2025 describes actual Internet projects that he proposes to develop between now and 2025.
Jean Lanoix is currently devoting most of his time to designing and developing three projects linked to INTERNET 2025:
He is also involved in helping private and public companies develop Internet services that can benefit society. Among others, he is currently working with Quebec’s Office de la protection du consommateur.
1993-2002
From interactive television to the Internet
In 1993, Jean Lanoix was appointed Interactive Strategy Manager for the UBI interactive television project proposed by the cable company Videotron, in collaboration with Canada Post, the National Bank of Canada, Hydro-Québec, and Hearst Corporation (New York). He led the strategic team in charge of helping several North American companies devise interactive communication strategies for the new medium.
In 1996, Jean Lanoix became a partner in the Internet firm MetaLink, one of the first Canadian companies to create dynamic Internet services, with real-time connections to the computer systems of large organizations.
In 1997, MetaLink became an affiliate of DMR Consulting, which then became Fujitsu Consulting.
Two years later, in 1999, Jean Lanoix was named Interactive Strategies Director for Fujitsu Consulting’s Global eCommerce Competency Center, which served 65 offices around the world.
1981-1993
Public relations, television, advertising, and marketing
Jean Lanoix began his career in 1981, working first in public relations for the City of Montreal in the area of tourism and then as a television freelancer. From 1985 to 1986, he managed the advertising and promotional campaigns for the launch of the Télévision Quatre Saisons network, today known as Canal V.
In 1987, he became a producer for two private television production firms, Ferron and Émergence. Then, in 1990, he became the Marketing Strategy Manager for the advertising firm of Marketel McCann-Erickson in Montreal.
1987
Christine Cyr and Jean Lanoix tie the knot
After 7 years together, Christine Cyr and Jean Lanoix married in Montreal. The couple considers their greatest achievements to be their two heaven-sent sources of inspiration and pride, their children, Virginie and Gabriel.
1981
Degree in Communications from Concordia University
Jean Lanoix holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Concordia University in Montreal, with a specialization in television production. From 1980 to 1981, he was the teaching assistant for Professor John O’Brien S.J., who founded the Communications Department. It was largely due to Professor O’Brien’s influence that Jean was inspired to orient his career toward interactive communication.
1978

At 19, Jean Lanoix wrote a book to help college students in Quebec get the most out of their human and educational experience. Published by Éditions Stanké, the book rose to become a bestseller in Quebec, on the Top 10 list of the daily newspaper La Presse for 8 consecutive weeks.
1974
Team Canada-Verdun, a hockey exchange with the Soviet Union
n 1974, Jean Lanoix was a member of the Verdun Midget Maple Leafs hockey team that won the first Wrigley championship, today known as the Telus Cup. The Verdun Leafs represented Canada in the USSR for a series of games against the Soviet Midget Red Army.
